What it is
The CP860 is a conference phone: the three-legged speakerphone that sits in the middle of a meeting-room table. Its built-in microphones pick up voices from all around the table, and its speaker fills the room, so everyone can join the call without crowding around a desk phone. This is an established model, and it comes with its power adapter in the box.

Do you need it?
Yes, if you hold calls with more than two or three people in one room. If meetings are just one or two people at a desk, a desk phone's speakerphone or a headset is enough. For a room without a network cable, look at the wireless CP930W instead.
