What it is
The T48S is a business desk phone with a 7-inch color touchscreen, up to sixteen phone lines and gigabit network ports. You tap the screen to dial, transfer and see who on your team is on a call, much like a tablet. A USB port takes an optional headset or wireless adapter. It's part of Yealink's T4S series, the generation before the current T5 phones.
Why you'd want it
- Tap to transfer: the touchscreen makes call handling quick and obvious.
- See your whole team: dozens of busy lights and speed dials on one screen.
- Fast for your computer: gigabit pass-through keeps the PC behind it at full speed.
- Looks the part: a polished phone for the front desk or a corner office.
Do you need it?
Best for receptionists who route lots of calls, and for executives who want the easiest phone to use. Most desks don't need a touchscreen: the T46S or T54W cost less. For the current generation with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in, look at the T57W. This model ships without a power supply: it takes power from your network switch over the network cable (PoE, Power over Ethernet). If your switch doesn't provide PoE, add the Yealink power supply or a PoE injector to your order.
How it works with Plan V
One phone per desk on a Plan V seat. We set it up for your Plan V service before it ships, so it works when you plug it in: your extension, voicemail and line keys ready to go. Add Device Warranty for unlimited replacements.
