What it is
The T56A is a smart business desk phone with a 7-inch color touchscreen running Android, the system used on many smartphones. You tap to dial, transfer and check coworkers' status, and it has gigabit network ports and a USB port. It's from Yealink's earlier T5 smart-phone range.
Why you'd want it
- Tablet-like and easy: tap names and buttons instead of hunting for keys.
- See your team at a glance: lots of busy lights and speed dials on one screen.
- Fast for your computer: gigabit pass-through keeps the PC behind it at full speed.
- A premium desk: a polished phone for leaders and front desks.
Do you need it?
Choose it if you want a big touchscreen at the front desk or an executive office. Most desks don't need it: the T54W or T53 cost less. If you may want video calls later, the T58A takes an add-on camera. The T57W is a simpler touchscreen with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in. This model ships without a power supply: it takes power from your network switch over the network cable (PoE, Power over Ethernet). If your switch doesn't provide PoE, add the Yealink power supply or a PoE injector to your order.
How it works with Plan V
One phone per desk on a Plan V seat. We set it up for your Plan V service before it ships, so it works when you plug it in: your extension, voicemail and line keys ready to go. Add Device Warranty for unlimited replacements.
