What it is

PoE (Power over Ethernet) lets a phone get its power through the same network cable it uses for data. The YLPOE30 is a PoE injector: a small box that plugs into a wall outlet, sits between your network switch and the phone, and adds power to that one cable.

Why you'd want it

• Powers one phone: no need to replace your network switch.
• One cable at the desk: power arrives through the network cable, so no adapter by the phone.
• Hide it away: the injector can sit by the switch, away from the desk.
• Simple fix: plug in, connect two cables, done.

Do you need it?

Yes, if you're buying a phone sold without a power supply and your network switch doesn't provide PoE. If your switch has PoE, you don't need it. If you're powering many phones, a PoE switch is usually cheaper and tidier than several injectors; ask us.
