What it is

The T21 is an entry-level business desk phone with two lines, a black-and-white screen and a speakerphone. It's an older Yealink model. It doesn't take power from the network cable (no PoE), so it needs a power adapter and an outlet.

Why you'd want it

• Simple and familiar: a standard keypad and speakerphone.
• Two lines: hold one call while you answer another.
• Low cost: good for desks that take only a few calls.
• Works on any network: no special PoE switch required.

Do you need it?

Good for light users and shared spaces when your network doesn't provide power. The newer T21P E2 does the same job with a clearer screen and the option of PoE. For an everyday desk, the T23G or T53 are better choices.
